Mugabe has ruined Zimbabwe. I almost believed that this past election would be the one to get him out of office. I don’t know why I believed that. His domestic and foreign policies have done nothing but further Zimbabwe backwards. His argument that imperialism caused all the problems Zimbabwe has doesn’t work anymore. Yes, imperialism was the initial problem for most Africa countries but this problem has not been helped by these politically corrupt African governments. Mugabe’s being one of them, of course. He has ruined the economy of Zimbabwe, and people’s morale as far as I’m concerned. I agree with this article and his opposition: http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5i0YYhU2Kmlpg2w9UP-CjEgb6NBFw.
“Zimbabwe’s opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai urged the international community to reject the results of Friday’s run-off election in which President Robert Mugabe is the sole candidate.”
I reject the results.
Anyways, enough politics for now.
On Saturday Lisa, Theresa, Kenzie and I are going shopping at West Edmonton Mall. I am excited to go, it will probably be really fun. We are only going the day though, however I am very excited to get some cheap new clothes for summer. I’m trying to figure out what kind of style I really like and really suits me. I like the “indie look” and I like the “classy” look, but I sometimes mix the two up. Maybe that is okay. I don’t have to define my style.
Courtney starts work here next week and I am stoked! I think it will be nice to have her around everyday, however, it kind of sucks that I have to go back to school in a month and a half therefore only getting to work with her for that time frame. But it isn’t like I’m not going to see her….
Saturday night Courtney, Geoff (her boyfriend), Carson and I are going to have a double date. Rock Band, Scene It and Vodka Cran’s are all in the plan. So it will probably shape up to be a pretty good weekend, and I have Tuesday off for Canada Day. Happy Birthday Canada!
