Moving

I have spent my entire Labour Day long weekend helping my mom and brother move into my grandpa’s house. I am tired and more or less sick of cleaning. I am proud of my mom though. She’s toughing it out there because in the end she will save a lot of money not paying rent/mortgage payments. My grandpa is planning on moving to Mexico for about 6-8 months. I am not exactly sure why but he is. So my mom moved in to watch his house and the dog. My brother will be starting a brand new school tomorrow. Poor kid, but I know eventually he will make friends. It’s just a bit harder for him then some kids. On a high note, I got a ton of free goodies from my mom (clothes, soaps, etc) since she had more than enough.

I think I will live more or less part time at my moms. Not a fixed schedule though like when my parents first split up, just whenever I feel like sleeping there and stealing her food. I do my laundry mostly at her house, it just happens to be laundry day whenever I go to see her, besides she has much higher load capacity in her washing machine.

Last week Carson and I spend the week in Elkford, BC. It is just outside Fernie. I love it there. It’s quiet. There is no internet access at his condo, cell phone service (I was almost dying), or cable tv. I can live without cable and internet (although I couldn’t forever) but without cell phone service I felt so out of the loop. I text message someone everyday! But it was nice, Carson and I had fun. If we ever live together I think we would work out really well. He cooked sometimes, I cleaned, we switched jobs once or twice and bathroom timing was perfect. Haha. We watched Season 1 of House which was great and I am now a House addict. It is an amazing show although it can be repetitive, which is okay because there is still enough variation within each episode.

School starts next Monday. I need to find a new job. It was sad quitting my old one but I only liked it towards the end when I could fool around on the computer. I miss the people but not the job itself. I was way underpaid for all the work I did. Lack of experience and age I guess. If I was older I probably would have paid more, or if I had had previous work experience in that same type of work. Oh well. I really thought Rob was going to find me part time work to do there, so I was a bit let down at the end. Especially since he made it sound like all year they would have something for at the end.

I am so excited for school.

Backstreet Boys concert tomorrow! The 11 year old in me is super excited!
